Guy Fieri’s Downtown Flavortown Opens in Myrtle Beach With Restaurant and Arcade
MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA — Celebrity chef Guy Fieri has officially opened his newest Downtown Flavortown location at Myrtle Beach Mall, marking one of the year’s biggest restaurant and entertainment openings on the Grand Strand.
Opening June 5, the massive venue combines a full-service restaurant, arcade, bowling lanes, sports lounge, private event spaces, and a tiki bar under one roof, creating what may be one of the largest dining and entertainment destinations in the area.
What’s New
Downtown Flavortown, located at 10177 North Kings Highway inside Myrtle Beach Mall, is an amazing 50,000 square feet and designed to be much more than a standard restaurant.
The facility features:
- Seating for approximately 400 restaurant guests
- More than 100 arcade games
- Over 60 televisions throughout the sports lounge
- Duckpin bowling lanes
- Private party rooms
- Indoor tiki bar
The Myrtle Beach location is the second Downtown Flavortown concept developed through a partnership between Guy Fieri’s hospitality group and FACE Amusement, the company behind the successful Pigeon Forge, Tennessee location.
According to company officials, lessons learned from the Tennessee operation influenced the design of the Myrtle Beach facility, which they say is an ideal fit for one of the Southeast’s most prominent tourism markets.
Menu & Experience (with POV)
While the entertainment options are plentiful, the food remains the focal point of the event.
Guests can expect many of the dishes that helped make Guy Fieri famous through television shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy’s Grocery Games.
Signature menu items include:
- Bacon Mac-N-Cheeseburger
- Cajun Chicken Alfredo
- World Famous Trash Can Nachos
- Scratch-made burgers and sandwiches
- Craft cocktails and specialty drinks
The famous Trash Can Nachos remain one of the restaurant’s most talked-about items. The meal is delivered stacked in a metal container, which is abruptly raised at the table, spilling layers of chips, meat, cheese, and garnishes onto a serving platter.

From my perspective, what separates Downtown Flavortown from many celebrity-backed concepts is that the food already has a built-in audience. Customers frequently arrive familiar with the menu, having watched the meals promoted on television for years.
That recognition gives the restaurant an advantage many themed dining venues never achieve.
Community Buzz
The opening marks a huge investment in Myrtle Beach Mall and the surrounding area.
FACE Amusement, which owns the mall, views Downtown Flavortown as the anchor attraction in a broader redevelopment strategy aimed at increasing traffic and attracting new visitors.
The concept also joins a market with a mixed track record of celebrity-branded restaurants.
While some high-profile names like Margaritaville and Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen have found lasting success in Myrtle Beach, others have struggled to gain traction despite major celebrity backing.
That reality makes Downtown Flavortown one of the most anticipated restaurant openings on the Grand Strand this year.
Early interest appears strong, with many visitors expected to arrive specifically to experience Fieri’s menu and entertainment offerings.

Final Thoughts
Downtown Flavortown is far more than a restaurant.
It’s a full-fledged entertainment complex meant to keep families, visitors, sports fans, and foodies occupied for hours on end.
By combining Guy Fieri’s recognizable food brand with arcade games, bowling, cocktails, and live-event viewing spaces, the concept aims to deliver an experience that goes well beyond a typical meal.
If you’re visiting Myrtle Beach this summer, Downtown Flavortown is sure to be one of the area’s most talked-about new attractions.
