What’s New at Kirby Ice House Heights

The new venue spans 3.5 acres and is built for scale. Guests will find:

  • 12,000 square feet indoors and 12,000 square feet outdoors
  • Seating for 800 people
  • 400 parking spaces
  • Food trucks and outdoor games
  • More than 40 TVs for sports fans

The design is dog-friendly and tailored for both big crowds and casual meetups, creating a space that feels true to the Texas ice house tradition.

Inside the Experience

Co-owner and founding partner Danny Evans described Kirby Ice House’s formula: “Great service, ice cold beer, huge patios and the best place to watch games and host big events. It’s a Texas thing.”

Guests can expect an atmosphere that blends laid-back neighborhood vibes with the capacity to host major events, from game days to community gatherings. The Heights location replaces a former Chase Bank site, which was demolished to make way for the project. Impressively, construction was completed in under nine months, underscoring the brand’s growth momentum.

Author POV:
Having visited other Kirby Ice House locations, I can say there’s nothing quite like stepping into a bar that feels both massive and neighborly at the same time. The 146-foot bar is more than a talking point — it’s a centerpiece that makes ordering easy even on the busiest nights. Combine that with sprawling patios, food trucks, and wall-to-wall TVs, and this Heights spot is set to become one of Houston’s go-to hangouts.
